Donna Mumme, PhD

Dr. Donna Mumme is the director of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) at Harvard University. In this role, she focuses on creating a place that provides academic support to students whether they need help with a specific assignment, want to develop better work habits or hope to engage with their classes more fully. Prior to joining the ARC, Dr. Mumme was a Head Preceptor in the Harvard College Writing Program where she taught expository writing, worked with a teaching team to create a new curriculum for students who are under-prepared for college level writing and was involved in selecting and mentoring new preceptors. She continues to lead workshops on writing in the sciences and writing effectively.

Dr. Mumme received her Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Stanford University, completed post-doctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley and worked in a variety of academic, research, and clinical settings before joining the faculty of the Harvard College Writing Program in 2009.
