Brian Persaud, MD

Dr. Brian Persaud is a practicing Hospitalist and Core Education Faculty for the Internal Medicine residency program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to medicine, he taught as a high school teacher, college calculus professor and helped author multiple Differential Equations textbooks. His interest in adult learning motivated him to pursue medicine. He has completed his Internal Medicine residency and chief residency at Yale New Haven Hospital before joining Harvard Medical School as an Instructor of Medicine. He has been intimately involved with the development of Training to Teach from its inception with a special focus on the development of the Capstone component. He now serves as Associate Director for the Training to Teach program.
