Dr. Jason Freed, M.D. is a hematologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Freed grew up in central Florida and received his B.S. and M.D. degrees from the University of Florida. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston where he was selected to be chief resident. He completed his fellowship in hematology at Beth Israel Deaconess before joining the faculty. He has a number of educational leadership roles at BIDMC and Harvard Medical School including serving as the associate program director for the internal medicine residency training program and as the hematology clerkship director. He is also the founding director of the BIDMC Clinician-Educator Track for medicine subspecialty fellows, the first of its kind. He has received a number of teaching awards and he has published in Academic Medicine, Medical Teacher, and JAMA.
