Mara Bloom serves as senior vice president at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center where she oversees the Cancer Center, Radiation Oncology and Dermatology departments. She brings passion, energy and vision to this position, as well as a commitment to keeping one of the world’s great cancer centers in the global vanguard of cancer care and research. Bloom oversees clinical and research operations at all MGH Cancer Center and Radiation Oncology facilities, including the main campus, all satellites and affiliated sites. Working closely with leadership across the myriad research and clinical disease centers and programs, Bloom is guiding the development of Mass General Hospital’s strategic direction.  An attorney by training, Bloom came to discover that health care was her calling as director of oncology services at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Bloom inspires and engages colleagues to bring its front-line caregivers, researchers and staff the resources they need to continue providing the best patient experience and highest quality of care. Bloom is passionate about creating high-quality, patient-centered service lines which incorporate the latest therapies and technologies and create a collaborative culture among physicians and scientists.  Bloom, who has been co-leading MCSO since 2019, enjoys training master's students to evolve their leadership in clinical service operations.
