Saurabha Bhatnagar, MD is a transformational leader at the intersection of healthcare and technology, who brings a unique blend of expertise as a physician executive and software engineer. Over the last two decades, he has spearheaded significant industry advancements across multiple enterprises and verticals at enterprises ranging from Fortune 5 companies to start-ups.
While at Mass General Brigham, Dr. Bhatnagar joined the Department of Veterans Affairs and ascended to deputy chief medical officer prior to joining United Healthcare (NYSE: UHN) as chief medical officer, first heading up Medicare before moving to chief medical officer & head of digital technology. After United Healthcare, Saurabha joined a start-up as president, general manager, and chief health officer. He was instrumental in achieving the needed turnaround, delivering exponential growth, resulting in leading a SaaS software and hardware Health Tech business that grew over 80x in under 2.5 years.
As a faculty member at Harvard Medical School for over a decade, Dr. Bhatnagar teaches in the Global Executive Education and master’s degree programs. He is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with fellowship training in brain injury medicine. He earned a bachelor’s in computer science with Honors from Illinois Institute of Technology and a medical doctorate from Chicago Medical School-RFUMS.
