Dr. Monique Tello has 20+ years’ experience as a clinician, including over a decade as a practicing internist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. She is now thriving as a medical director in clinical development at an area immuno-oncology biotechnology firm. She is the author of the evidence-based lifestyle change guide Healthy Habits for Your Heart (Simon and Schuster 2018) and has published over 700 articles, mostly at Harvard Health Blog covering the science behind healthy living, and on her own personal blog www.DrMoniqueTello.com about achieving balance from the perspective of doctor and mother. She has also published in Scientific American, Newsweek, USA Today, Kevin MD, Doximity and more, all on medical topics. She completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency training program at Yale/New Haven Hospital. After residency, she earned a Master's degree in public health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and completed a clinical research fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is half Latina, speaks Spanish and maintains a close relationship with her extended family in Guatemala. She is married to local sports broadcaster Bob Socci and they have two young children, one with autism.
