Dr. Herrick Nadine Fisher, who goes by Cricket, is an Attending Hospitalist in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Medicine and Director of the Integrated Teaching Unit for the Internal Medicine Residency. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2019 and medical school at the University of California, San Francisco in 2016. Prior to a career in medicine, she studied sociology, psychology, social policy, and evidence-based social intervention. Her professional interests include general inpatient medicine, addiction medicine, social justice and racial equity in medicine, and medical education with a particular focus on the learning environment and microaggressions. She has received multiple awards in teaching and mentorship as a resident and attending.
