The curriculum of the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training program empowers scholars to deepen their understanding of the clinical research process and refine their skills to achieve high-quality results.
Foundation, Elective and Concentration Courses
The courses provide scholars with a comprehensive understanding of the clinical research process, which they can then build upon with specialized knowledge in their chosen concentration of either Advanced Quantitative Methods in Epidemiology and Principles and Practice of Clinical Trials. The program requires scholars to complete the core foundation courses along with the selected concentration and elective.
For the capstone project, scholars will develop a formal proposal based on an original research question. The writing process begins before the second workshop, with feedback provided by both faculty and peers throughout the program. Upon completion, a faculty panel will rank the capstone projects. Scholars with the “top 10” proposals will be invited to present their research via webinars, which are open to all program participants. Authors of the “top 3” proposals will have the opportunity to present at the final workshop in Boston.
Each cohort nominates a student speaker, to deliver a speech upon the program graduation.
