Available in full-time, one-year and part-time, two-year options, the Master in Clinical Service Operations program is designed for health care professionals and administrators who aspire to leadership positions in operations management. This clinical leadership program provides physicians, clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals and administrators with the clinical operations skill sets and management training and they need to lead teams, optimize efficiency and improve the patient experience.
As a program scholar, you will improve your ability to optimize health care quality and safety, maintain excellence in health care service and patient care—and lead your health care teams, projects and organization to success. The program will be of benefit to clinicians who are transitioning or seeking to transition into administrative management or executive roles; medical and non-medical personnel and staff who aspire to become directors, executives and administrators will also find tremendous value in the knowledge and skills taught.
Participants will learn directly from Harvard’s leading faculty across all areas influencing surgical leadership, including communication, mentoring, change management, process and quality improvement, financial management, surgical research and technique. Anchored by three international four-day workshops in London and Boston, the course culminates with a personalized capstone project, enabling you to apply what you have learned in a context that advances the immediate and long-term goals of your home institution.
Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership is a one-year certificate program that consists of three, multi-day workshops; dynamic live webinars and pre-recorded lectures; and team-based peer collaboration. This program is designed to help participants develop knowledge and skills in the science and implementation of safety and quality programs in a hospital setting.
